Leonard B. Hardie was a graduate of St. Augustine’s college and a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. As a Founding member of the Raleigh Alumni Chapter, his life long dedication to our fraternity and his beloved alma mater led to the creation of this scholarship in 1998.
J. Mills Holloway, a fraternity member in good standing for over 50 years, devoted 42 years of his life to higher education. Thirty six of those years were spent at Saint Augustine College as Vice President of Financial Affairs. The Scholarship named in Brother Holloway's honor is earmarked for students attending either North Carolina Central University or Saint Augustine College, who have participated in the Kappa Scholars or Beautillion Militaire programs or who are members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Dr. Charles Holland was a graduate of North Carolina Central University and Ohio State University School of Opthamology. Dr. Holland was a longstanding member of the Fraternity and the Raleigh Alumni Chapter. For many years Dr. Holland was an entrepeneur and business person in the Raleigh Community. He also dedicated many years of his life to community and public service as an elected member of the Wake County Board of Education. For over 30 years, he served Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Scholarship is named in his honor.
The Kappa Charitable Trust General Scholarship was established in 2008 and is earmarked for two graduating seniors with minimum grade point average of 2.5 Applicants leadership potential must be evidenced by school and community activities.
Programs
Beautillion Militaire Leadership Training, and Scholarship Program

The Beautillion Militaire Leadership, Training and Scholarship Program was established by William A Rainbow and Samuel Greene of the Raleigh Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Inc. in 1985. Beautillion is designed to expose young men in their junior and senior years of high school to leadership training through concentrated and systematic efforts. The program provides the young men with an opportunity to present their skills and achievements to the community, and earn scholarship awards to assist them with their secondary education.
